It was a weekend well earned. There had been immense work pressure during the week and we had toiled hard. Unfortunately, some of us were not pleased. It was Saturday morning, and here we were back at the office. It was relocation day and the chosen few gathered together with dejected looks. A relocation consultant is a person who provides assistance with moves. Ours being an IT firm, data and communication cable set up was installed on a war footing. Even one day lost due to communication issue would literally ruin us.

The relocation consultant provided advisory services on this account. The phased out schedule for office renovation was made. By the time the new office space was done being renovated we were almost prepared to move in.

The systems room furniture was dismantled properly. Then they started with the packing of the computer and other lan room accessories. Computer zip-lock bags were used and labeled to avoid unloading chaos. The packed containers were double taped and labeled appropriately.

Freezers and refrigerators were unplugged the night before to defrost suitably. The moving company had sent over their representative the day before to supervise the pre-move work.

On reaching the new office site, all the packed things ware again unpacked by the personnel. The lan room was again set up and fully functional. In mere hours, the office was fully functional and ready to go.

We heaved a sigh of relief as we watched the moving company work without having to lift a finger. Suddenly, the reality set in as we noticed that we were standing in a fully functioning office.
